The Diploma is designed as a distance learning course, published in five Books: The Montessori Books 1, 2, 3, 4 (taken in sequence) and Book 5 - the Ministerial Module.
Fees include GST, and the services of a Tutor, by distance.

*RD Rural Delivery will incur an additional postage fee for the Text Books where appropriate.
**Text Books are compulsory. They can only be purchased when enrolling to take the Diploma; not available for independent sale.
(If you do not require the Text Book to be mailed there is a deduction of $10 for postage.)
Payment Of Fees
We require TWO separate payments to two different payees: one for Course fees, one for Text Book fees.

As a private training establishment, we are required to comply with S236A of the Education Act 1989.
Withdrawal & Refunds
Students are given the opportunity to withdraw from the course on application in writing, within 14 days of receiving the Text Books. Fees less 10% or $500 (whichever is the lesser) will be refunded; on return of the course Text Book in as-new condition, a refund will be issued.

Additional Course Costs Per Book
Stationery including jotter pads, A4 paper, large envelopes, three or four ring binders or clear files, a small amount of coloured cardboard, postage of assignments, toll calls.
Optional – photographs of children or materials $50.00.
Montessori Diploma Practical Workshops
In order to qualify for the Aperfield Montessori Diploma, in addition to completing all assignments, students will have to attend three Practical Workshops at a Montessori centre in New Zealand and also undergo a Practical and Oral Assessment.
To gain maximum benefit from a full Practical Workshop, students are advised to have completed at least Books 1 and 2; however attendance can be credited for all four Books if a minimum of Book 1 has been completed. If Book 1 and 2 have been completed the student may sit the practical demonstration for all four Montessori Books.
Practical Workshop Fee ($75 per day)
In addition, students need to make their own arrangements for travel and accommodation at their own expense. The practical demonstration fee is included in the full workshop fee.
Practical Demonstration Re-sits
Outside a Workshop, a re-sit for the full practical demonstration is $70, or re-sit part practical demonstration $30.
